Classic Brass Inc. is a brass quintet performing in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, and has been together since 1989. Their repertoire is as broad and varied as any you’ll hear.

CBI’s players are experienced, talented brass ensemble players from all over the Twin Cities area. Their active repertoire is well over 100 tunes. Here are a few of their favorites.
Classic Brass Inc. has strayed from its ‘legit’ format, playing for regional and national Drum Corps Associates (DCA) competitions. In 1995 CBI won first place in the brass ensembles category with a score of 99.9, playing the Hornheads’ “Interrupting Cow.” And we won again in 1997, 2010, and 2014!
The founding members of Classic Brass Inc. are members or alumni of Minnesota Brass Inc. Drum & Bugle Corps. That’s where the group’s name comes from.
